24 HR Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation Review

I bet you have all heard of the new 24 Hour Revlon Colorstay whipped foundation right? But it is almost impossible to find it anywhere in Canada, I just had to have it! After a long search of local drug stores , online and then ebay I finally broke down and bought it! I wanted it right at purchase to see what all the raving was about but because I ordered from Ebay I had to wait... 2 weeks + ,
After much waiting I was finally able to try it
First Impressions
At first glance I was super shocked on how heavy the actual bottle was, it is made of a thick glass sphere like bottle with a black twist off lid and comes with 0.8fl oz of product. I love the texture it's super silky and thick (yes thick which I was a little concerned about being it's summer time) aside from that I was to excited not to try it! However when I did I used 2 methods which did not work for this foundation in means of application -- 1) I find fingers do not work, this is a heavy foundation which gives full coverage so I felt like my hands couldn't apply it well. 2) A synthetic foundation brush! This did not work either it left the application unblendable and cakey! , I finally watched some reviews because at this point I just didn't see what everyone else was seeing. When I watched a YouTube video an application method that worked for them was to dampen the original beauty blender (im sure dupes are fine) and dab your blender into the foundation and then apply to face. I tried this method , and I am now happy to say this is A-MAZING!

Pro's

  • Great Coverage
  • Silky
  • Non-greasy
  • Doesn't look heavy
  • Flawless
  • The longer you leave it the more gorgeous it is!
  • Absorbs well
  • A little product goes a long way
Con's
  • On the pricey side for DS foundation
  • Heavy bottle = non compact
  • Not easily accessible for re-purchase
Verdict :
I love this foundation, I really do! It is definitely worth every last second of searching! I love how with combination skin I'm not always worried about my t-zone being oily or if I'm to hot it's going to come pouring down my face, the foundation doesn't move. I'm really glad I researched the application method because for some reason I would have never have guessed to dampen my beauty blender. I would highly recommend this product to all skin types as well as for all seasons, although it's a high coverage foundation it doesn't feel thick on the face and I have worn this foundation on super warm days without it moving.
This foundation gets a 10/10 in my opinion!

  1. I actually heard from a reader of mine that this foundation isn't even launching here till later..possibly september but I'm not sure. The balm stains were supposed to be here in August but I haven't seen then. Lucky you ordered or you may have been waiting for a while:P
I can't wait to try this as well:)
